Description
The City of Prince Rupert is soliciting proposals for design consultant services for the Big Infrastructure Gap (BIG) Project, Phase 3. This project aims to upgrade and replace aging water and sewer infrastructure, improve related road surfaces, and minimize community disruption. The scope of services includes preliminary engineering reports, detailed design (50%, 90%, 100%), procurement support, contract administration, site inspections, engineering support, and project closeout. The project is divided into five phases: Preliminary Engineering Report, Detailed Design, Procurement Support, Contract Administration and Site Inspection, and Closeout Phase. Key objectives include bolstering system resiliency, separating storm and sewer utilities, and preparing construction procurement packages by March 31, 2027, with construction completion by March 31, 2028. Deliverables at 30%, 50%, 90%, and 100% design milestones require City approval, with specific review periods allocated for each. The City may, at its discretion, award additional packages or programs upon successful delivery of the defined work.
