Description
Houston Independent School District is seeking one or more vendors to provide E-Rate-eligible Dedicated Internet Access at four market-basket locations in Houston and Katy, Texas. The requested service includes dedicated, non-oversubscribed 100-Gbps Ethernet ports with scalable 20- and 40-Gbps committed information rates, burst capability up to 100 Gbps, dedicated transport to the provider’s Internet point of presence, IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack support, external BGP peering, and compatible single-mode fiber handoffs. Proposals must address implementation and acceptance testing, physical transport and route diversity, service-level agreements, 24/7 monitoring and technical support, customer usage and billing portals, escalation procedures, maintenance notifications, DDoS and routing security options, service continuity, and detailed pricing by location and service tier. The anticipated contract term is March 1, 2027, through June 30, 2030, with two optional annual renewals, not extending beyond June 30, 2032.
