Description
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service seeks a firm-fixed-price construction contractor to remove approximately 130 feet of existing deck handrail and a 23-by-4-foot steel stairway, then furnish and install a new aluminum handrail and prefabricated steel stair system. The work also includes concrete pad foundations and posts, site protection and restoration, utility locating, debris removal, and related construction activities. The stair system must include the specified structural components and hardware; manufacturer shop drawings and structural calculations stamped by a registered professional engineer are required during performance. Construction is restricted to June 5 through August 31, 2027, and materials must be fabricated and delivered before the construction period begins. The solicitation requests a completed Standard Form 1442, acknowledged amendments if applicable, pricing on the quote schedule, and applicable representations and certifications. Award is based on lowest evaluated price among responsible respondents.
