Description
The University of Minnesota is soliciting proposals for a single-prime, stipulated-price construction contract for a pre-engineered outdoor shelter system. The work includes site clearing and grading, excavation, concrete foundations, slab-on-grade construction, masonry components, stairs, ramp, railings, erosion and sediment controls, conduit for future electrical service, the prefabricated steel pavilion structure, roofing and trim, permits, temporary facilities, and related closeout work. The total construction budget is $360,000, with an additive alternate for non-frost-susceptible structural fill and a unit price for additional engineered fill. The project must be substantially complete by September 30, 2027, and is subject to Minnesota prevailing-wage requirements. The response must include the buyer-provided RFP Cover Page and Declaration, Respondent Team Qualifications with up to three comparable projects completed or commenced within the last five years, a Project Approach and Work Plan limited to five pages, a draft critical path method schedule and narrative, Project Cost information, the Responsible Contractor Verification of Compliance, and the First-Tier Subcontractor List. Responses must be submitted electronically through the University's MBid sourcing system by the hard close deadline. Performance and payment bonds and required insurance are applicable to the awarded construction contract.
