Description
Eastern Municipal Water District is soliciting bids from California Classification A general engineering contractors for construction of the San Jacinto Valley Advanced Water Purification Facility and associated brine ponds. Schedule A includes site grading and civil work; construction of a process building and support areas; vertical turbine pumps; ultrafiltration and primary and secondary reverse osmosis systems; chemical storage and feed systems; process piping; electrical, instrumentation, controls, process integration, commissioning, and related site improvements. Pipeline work includes facility and inter-process piping, connections to existing pipelines, drainage and sewer piping, trenching, backfill, testing, chlorination, and disinfection. Schedule B includes brine pond clearing, grading, drainage, piping, fencing, liners, evaporator equipment, mechanical systems, electrical and instrumentation systems, programmable logic controllers, and process integration. The project has an estimated bid value of $150 million to $160 million, is awarded on a lump-sum basis, and has a 1,280-calendar-day project duration. Schedule A and Schedule B have differing Build America, Buy America requirements, and the bid must include applicable federal and state funding certifications and DBE good-faith-efforts documentation.
