Description
Bell County Water Control and Improvement District No. 1 is soliciting sealed bids for the purchase and installation of a new two-section Eaton medium-voltage motor controller for a 1,000-horsepower, 2.4-kilovolt motor at Plant 3. The scope includes removing the damaged motor starter, installing the replacement in the same position, connecting bussing to the existing switchboard, repairing and re-terminating motor connections, programming and verifying the motor protector settings, replacing switchboard door gaskets during the outage, and assisting with Eaton acceptance testing to obtain a 30-month manufacturer’s equipment warranty. Any outages require District approval before work begins. The bid is a lump-sum procurement and installation. Bidders must provide two percent bid security, proof of liability insurance, and at least two prior projects involving silt removal or relocation. A site visit is encouraged and must be scheduled with Kevin Wright. The work is to be completed within 365 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed.
