Description
Sandy City is soliciting bids for crack sealing across 275 street segments within the city limits. The contractor must provide labor, approved crack-sealing materials, tools, equipment, insurance, bonding, traffic control, signage, devices, and a traffic control plan. Work includes cleaning and sealing cracks, treating alligator cracking, sealing roadway edges and asphalt patches, and correcting sinkers. A work permit is required for work in the city right-of-way, and an arrow-board vehicle must trail work areas on arterial roadways. Operations are generally limited to 7:00 a.m. through 7:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, with weekend work subject to engineer approval. The proposed contract has a one-year term and may be renewed for two additional one-year periods for the 2027 and 2028 crack seal projects. Work must begin within 10 days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed and be completed within 80 calendar days after commencement, subject to verified weather-related stoppages. Bidders must submit a 5% bid bond with the bid, and the awarded contractor must provide 100% performance and payment bonds, insurance, and a subcontractor list. The bid must be submitted through the Ion Wave portal; emailed and faxed bids are not accepted.
