Description
The City of Rancho Palos Verdes is soliciting bids for the Western Avenue Traffic Flow Improvements Project (Project No. 8809). The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to install and implement an Adaptive Traffic Control Solution (ATCS), including modifications to existing medians, upgrades to traffic signals, and installation of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) improvements. The project involves civil improvements such as median modifications, curb and gutter work, pavement widening, and striping, as well as traffic signal and ITS improvements including new controllers, vehicle detection systems, fiber optic cable, CCTV cameras, and communication upgrades. The contractor must be pre-qualified and hold a valid California Class A General Engineering Contractor license, along with appropriate C-10 and C-7 licenses. The project is subject to prevailing wage requirements and will be performed in strict conformance with Caltrans and local agency standards.
