Description
Hutto Independent School District is soliciting bids for dedicated, synchronous internet access at two locations: 4033 FM 1660 and 303 County Road 137 in Hutto, Texas. Vendors may bid either connection or both, with requested bandwidth options ranging from 5 to 10 Gbps at the first location and 1 to 10 Gbps at the second. Bids must identify the proposed bandwidth, pricing, installation charges, applicable fees, surcharges, taxes, and any ineligible services or costs. The requested internet-services contract term is five years, and the district may seek an option to upgrade bandwidth during the term. The Category Two project requires a complete hardware bid, including 62 switches with five-year vSZ management licenses, 180 10 Gb single-mode optics/SFPs and compatible stacking or DAC components, 22 Vertiv Liebert GXT online double-conversion UPS units, and 120 Ruckus R670/AP670 wireless access points with five-year vSZ management licenses. The clarified switch requirements include 27 ICX8200-48PF2-E access switches, 19 dual-power-supply ICX8200-48ZP2 multigig switches, 15 ICX 8200-C08ZP-V small/PoE switches, and one ICX 7850-48FS distribution switch. The UPS quantity includes 18 units with L6-30P input/L6-30R output and four standard 120V models; external battery modules are not required. Equipment must be compatible with the district's existing Ruckus virtual SmartZone version 7.2.0.0.243. Refurbished equipment and equipment from FCC-covered manufacturers are prohibited, and vendors must bid the entire hardware project. Cabling is not in scope; physical installation is limited to racking, stacking, and mounting, and subcontracting physical installation is permitted if disclosed. The bidder must complete the Hutto C2 Cover Page and provide compatibility documentation unless bidding the specified preferred models. Awards are contingent on E-rate funding and final board approval.
