Description
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's National Weather Service is seeking a contractor to repair and recondition 65 Belfort optical transmitters (Belfort part number 32315; AAI part number 62826-90111-3; ASN S100-2MT5A2A3). The work includes furnishing labor and materials to restore the equipment to like-new operating condition and appearance, meeting the original manufacturer's specifications and tolerances. Equipment that fails acceptance testing must be reworked at no additional cost. The contractor must package the repaired units to withstand transportation by ship, rail, truck, and aircraft while preventing physical, electrical, mechanical, cosmetic, or performance damage. Quotes must include firm-fixed, all-inclusive pricing, return shipping, delivery terms, a production plan, warranty information, technical qualifications, and up to three relevant past-performance references. The contractor must also demonstrate qualification to repair this specific equipment for the National Weather Service.
