Description
The City of Poway is soliciting bids for a public-works project to furnish and install Stormwater Catch Basin Filtration Devices in existing grated inlets, curb inlets, catch basins, and cleanouts. The work includes 101 device locations, including basket-type and screen-type devices, removal and disposal of six previously installed devices, traffic control, mobilization, cleaning, field verification, anchoring, and all related labor, materials, equipment, permits, and incidental work needed for a complete installation. Devices must capture trash and debris 5 mm and larger and comply with California full-trash-capture requirements. Approved products include specified Fabco and Enviropod devices or approved equals meeting the stated requirements. The project requires a California Class A contractor's license, prevailing-wage compliance, Department of Industrial Relations registration, certified payroll, traffic-control plans, insurance, and a minimum 50% self-performance requirement. Bidders must submit the provided proposal materials, including the bid schedule, background information questionnaire, subcontractor list, worker classifications, bid security, and non-collusion affidavit. The engineer's preliminary estimate is $215,000, and the work must be completed within 40 working days after the Notice to Proceed.
