Description

The National Park Service is soliciting a firm-fixed-price construction contract for work at Pecos National Historic Park. The project includes replacing two existing windows and a storm door with new steel-frame, double-pane, low-emissivity tempered-glass assemblies and a screen door; removing existing flashing and metal roofing and installing a new corrugated metal roofing and siding system; and demolishing four existing Marvair HVAC units and installing two new split-system units with concrete condensing-unit pads, controls, testing, and operator training. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, permits, demolition, disposal, weather protection, and incidental work required for a complete installation. The work must be completed within 90 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed, with commencement required within 10 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The anticipated project magnitude is between $250,000 and $500,000. The solicitation requires a completed SF 1442, an experience questionnaire, a project approach, and a 20 percent bid bond. Technical capability and past performance will be evaluated, including projects completed within the past five years involving siding and HVAC replacement. The project is a total small-business set-aside. Amendment 2 supplies the previously missing Experience Questionnaire and Project Approach forms and requires acknowledgment of the amendment before the offer deadline.
