Description
The City of North Platte is soliciting proposals from qualified architectural and engineering firms or teams to provide professional design services for a new police headquarters facility, referred to as the Police Center. The procurement will use a Qualifications-Based Selection process consistent with Brooks Act principles and applicable Nebraska statutes governing professional design services. The project is limited to the police headquarters component, approximately 32,000 square feet, and excludes fire department facilities. The attached feasibility study evaluated a broader combined public safety center and identified police-specific space needs, site considerations, conceptual layouts, and estimated project costs. The study estimated total project costs of approximately $48,487,673 for the combined public safety center, while the current procurement is specifically for the police headquarters design. The final design-firm selection will be made at the discretion of the City of North Platte City Council. Addendum No. 1 is dated September 2, 2026.
