Description
The City of Santa Clarita is soliciting bids for replacement of approximately 237 linear feet of deteriorated chain-link fabric on three softball-field backstops at Bridgeport Park, Chesebrough Park, and Canyon Country Park. The contractor must remove and legally dispose of the existing fabric; furnish and install new galvanized chain-link fabric approximately 20 feet high, using 9-gauge wire and 2-inch mesh; attach it to the existing framework; and provide compatible tension hardware and related materials. The work includes protecting adjacent park improvements, maintaining safe and secure work zones, coordinating closures, restoring disturbed areas, and completing cleanup. A California C-13 fencing contractor license, Department of Industrial Relations registration, prevailing-wage compliance, a 10% bid bond, and a 100% labor and materials bond are required. The successful contractor must provide the required insurance and a minimum one-year warranty. Pricing and the proposal documents must be submitted electronically through BidNet, while the original notarized bid bond must be delivered separately to City Hall by the bid deadline.
