Description
The USDA Agricultural Research Service requires troubleshooting and repair of four inoperable gates and eight limit switches at its feedmill. Work includes identifying and tracing wiring, terminating wiring in the field and motor starter cabinet, and testing repaired components to verify proper operation. The contractor must provide qualified labor, tools, and safety equipment; the agency will provide site access, scheduled equipment shutdowns, an on-site operator, and a scissor lift. The contractor must provide confirmation of correct gate and limit-switch operation, documentation of wiring corrections as applicable, and a summary of testing results. The solicitation requests pricing for the repair job and a detailed explanation of the proposed approach, including any requirements that cannot be met.
