Description
The U.S. Navy is seeking a contractor to provide the facility, labor, materials, parts, tooling, testing, inspection, and related capabilities needed to overhaul, upgrade, repair, test, and inspect encryption equipment and return it to a ready-for-issue condition. The requirement identifies NSN 5810-01-643-6601 and part/reference number 4705-03000-15-101. The contractor must perform the work at the facility identified in its proposal, meet a 90-day repair turnaround time after receipt, provide a monthly throughput constraint, and supply necessary parts and materials unless specifically identified as Government Furnished Material. The work includes component repair and replacement, reassembly, testing, inspection, process-control documentation, quality assurance, configuration management, storage, packaging, and historical records for each processed item. The contractor must maintain applicable quality systems, calibration controls, repair and inspection procedures, and Government-approved configuration and source controls. Government source approval is required before award; only previously approved sources were solicited, while prospective sources must submit the information required by the applicable NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support source-approval materials. The solicitation is intended for negotiation with one source under FAR 6.302-1.
