Description
Hernando County is soliciting a contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, inspection, engineering, cleaning, painting, maintenance, and repairs for the Hernando Beach elevated water tower. The 250,000-gallon, 132.5-foot welded tank requires annual inspections and written inspection reports with photographs; pressure washing and minor touch-up painting as needed; complete exterior cleaning and repainting when required; repairs to steel parts, expansion joints, sway rods, and manhole covers or gaskets; emergency repair services; and inspection or replacement of the navigational beacon light bulb. Work also includes maintaining the tank exterior, logo, lettering, and artwork, with repairs subject to County approval. This is a requirements-based term contract with a three-year initial period and two unilateral one-year renewal options. The contractor must have at least three years of water-tower inspection and maintenance experience and at least three current or prior similar maintenance contracts. Bidders must submit pricing for annual inspection and maintenance, pressure washing and minor painting, and complete exterior tank painting, along with references, licenses, equipment and personnel information, and required certifications and forms.
