Description
The Port of Long Beach is soliciting bids for the Pier B On-Dock Rail Support Facility West Expansion and Pier B Street Realignment project. The work includes lengthening Pier B Yard westward and adding three new storage tracks, reconfiguring ladder tracks to construct a new yard lead, widening and realigning Pier B Street from Anaheim Way to Baker/Lineage Logistics to four lanes, and upgrading three at-grade rail crossings with active warning devices, including flashers, gates, and cantilevers. The project also includes improving roadway horizontal and vertical geometry for drainage and safety, and reconfiguring Edison Avenue for improved access and safety. The opportunity is a lump-sum construction contract with an estimated bid value of $78,952,000.
