Description
The City of Hazlehurst is soliciting sealed bids for restoration of road embankments and removal and replacement of dirt road shoulders at multiple sites. The work includes approximately 57.2 cubic yards of road embankment restoration, including base-course drainage layers, utility bedding, topsoil placement, compaction, and grading, plus approximately 28.39 cubic yards of dirt-road shoulder replacement. Mobilization, demobilization, traffic control, labor, equipment, materials, permits, inspections, and required engineering approvals are included in the contractor’s responsibilities. The selected contractor must complete the work within 60 days of contract award, comply with Georgia Department of Transportation standards, provide a 5% bid guarantee, submit required insurance documentation, and provide 100% performance and payment bonds before work begins. The portal submission also requires a bid table, certifications and declarations, references, a signed and notarized contractor affidavit, a drug-free workplace policy, and insurance policy documentation.
