Description
This invitation for bid seeks a licensed Hawai'i Type A general engineering contractor to furnish all labor, materials, transportation, tools, equipment, machinery, and services necessary to complete Vidinha Stadium Improvements Phase IV (Ditch Repairs). The work includes mobilization, site preparation and demolition, erosion and dust controls, excavation, two concrete box culverts measuring 7 feet by 7 feet and 12 feet by 5 feet, fill above the culverts, 12-inch and 36-inch drain lines, drainage structures, grading, utility work, and landscape improvements including Common Bermuda grass planting and maintenance. The project repairs approximately 1,000 feet of an existing drainage ditch. Depending on the location, the work may include a concrete box culvert, rectangular concrete channel, or regrading and channel lining. Bidders must hold a Hawai'i State Contractor's License Type A before submitting bids. The solicitation requires electronic submission through the Public Purchase System and includes a bid bond, required schedules, subcontractor information, plans, technical specifications, and construction provisions. Addendum No. 1 revises the certificate-holder address to the County of Kaua'i Department of Public Works, 4444 Rice Street, Suite 275, Lihue, Hawai'i 96766, Attention: Troy Tanigawa, and clarifies that control joints are not required for the concrete box culvert walls and slabs.
