Description
The West Virginia Parkways Authority seeks a contractor for bridge approach rehabilitation at Bridge 3048S. Work includes roadway and approach slab replacement, pavement milling and paving, reconstruction of the bridge expansion joint, abutment shotcrete repairs, drainage improvements, and related guardrail and traffic-control work. The plans and specifications establish phased construction and traffic-management requirements, with an interim completion date for mainline work and a final completion date for all work. Bidders must be prequalified and submit an electronic bid through Bid Express. The bid must include a proposal guaranty in the form of a cashier's or certified check or bid bond equal to 5% of the proposal amount or $2,000, whichever is greater. A bid bond may be submitted electronically, but a check must be delivered separately. The solicitation also requires bidders to meet the stated prequalification work-category requirements. Minority-owned and women-owned businesses are encouraged to submit proposals, but the opportunity is not set aside.
