Description
St. Mary Parish School District is requesting proposals for a 36-month contract (with two 1-year extension options) to provide Wide Area Network (WAN) connectivity and Internet Access services. The District currently operates a point-to-point 10 Gbps fiber WAN connecting 27 sites, and seeks to upgrade to 10 and 20 Gbps fiber circuits with resilient options. Services must be delivered to 27 eligible entities, including schools and non-instructional facilities, with the data center at the St. Mary Parish School Board Central Office. The District also requests pricing for 10 Gbps and 20 Gbps Internet Access for two data centers. The contract will begin July 1, 2027, and services must be fully operational by that date. Vendors must provide a managed fiber solution with dedicated bandwidth, 99.9% uptime, and support for multiple protocols. The RFP includes a mandatory pre-bid meeting on August 20, 2026, at 10:00 AM CST via Microsoft Teams. Proposals are due September 30, 2026, at 2:00 PM CST. The evaluation will consider cost, technical design, technical support proximity, ability to deliver by start date, and references/experience.
