NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Philadelphia intends to solicit on a sole source basis to The Boeing Company for the repair of an aircraft cover access (NSN: 1560 016860091, QTY: 3, P/N: 74A140111-2010). This repair requires engineering source approval by the design control activity to maintain the quality of the part. The unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge held by The Boeing Company necessitate acquisition from this approved source. The approved source retains data rights, manufacturing knowledge, or technical data essential to maintaining the part's quality, which are not economically available to the Government. An alternate source must qualify according to the design control activity's procedures, as approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. The qualification procedures must be approved by the Government engineering activity with jurisdiction over the part in its intended application. It is expected that award will be made to this firm. Any firm not already approved to manufacture this material must submit a Source Approval Request (SAR). This repair will not be delayed to wait for a SAR approval. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. The RFQ/Solicitation will be posted to NECO. The anticipated award date is September 2025.
