Description
The Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Services is offering a one-time sale of metallic and non-metallic scrap under IFB 33-6055. The offering consists of mixed iron and steel scrap with foreign attachments, enameled stock, coated paint cans, tin cans, corroded borings and turnings, oil, and other inferior grades of metal. The advertised bid quantity is 100,000 pounds, with a minimum guaranteed quantity of 50,000 pounds and a maximum allowed quantity of 150,000 pounds. Bidders must submit a price per pound for the item and are responsible for providing material-handling equipment, conveyances, loading, transportation, required permits and licenses, and compliant scrap processing. The purchaser must remove the material within 10 business days after award and comply with applicable environmental, safety, export-control, and scrap-warranty requirements. This is a sale of government property, not a service contract.
