Description
The Housing Authority of the Cherokee Nation is soliciting labor-only bids from general contractors or qualified flooring installers for work in vacant low-rent apartments. The scope includes removing existing VCT tile and adhesive, performing floor preparation such as applying leveler, removing existing base trim, installing HACN-provided LVP flooring, painting and installing 5-1/4-inch wood base trim, and disposing of construction waste. Units are expected to range from approximately 600 to 1,200 square feet and may vary in layout. HACN will provide the flooring, adhesive, base trim, and trim paint; the contractor must provide labor, equipment, and installation tools. Projects will be divided among three installation areas, with work located within the 14-county Cherokee Reservation. Bidders must provide unit pricing for VCT removal, flooring installation, and painted and installed wood base trim. The selected contractor must complete each job within five days per office after issuance of a purchase order. Indian preference, TERO requirements, prior work history, cost, and responsibility will be considered. The solicitation also requires specified bid forms and certifications, including a non-collusive affidavit, drug- and tobacco-free workplace statement, and applicable Indian-preference statements.
