Description
The City of Ferguson is seeking a vendor to design, provision, and manage a scalable, secure citywide wide area network using managed Ethernet, software-defined WAN, Network-as-a-Service, or a comparable architecture. The solution must connect primary and secondary municipal sites, provide 1G fiber internet and switched-network connections as specified, support dynamic bandwidth and VLAN provisioning through a central web portal, integrate VPN and dedicated internet access, prioritize mission-critical voice, video, and data traffic, and support near-real-time traffic adjustments. The proposed solution must include managed customer-premises equipment supporting routing, switching, firewall, and intrusion prevention functions, with future support for co-managed equipment and proactive monitoring. Proposals must address network resiliency, points of presence, redundant routes, 24/7/365 monitoring and escalation, service-level commitments, implementation scheduling, pricing for setup and recurring services, and detailed network topology and failover measures.
