The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is soliciting proposals for a design-build project to replace the northbound and southbound bridges on Route 3 over the North River in the towns of Norwell, Pembroke, and Marshfield. The project includes demolition of existing bridges, design and construction of twin single-span bridges with a 75-year design life and 100-year service life, roadway reconstruction, drainage improvements, traffic management, environmental mitigation, and landscaping. The estimated project cost is $103,050,000. The procurement follows a two-phase best-value design-build process, with technical and price proposals due October 30, 2026.
