Description
The United States Navy, through NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Mechanicsburg, is soliciting socket head cap screws and related fasteners for use in a crucial shipboard system. The solicitation covers multiple CLINs, permits offers on any or all CLINs, and may result in multiple awards at the CLIN level. Requirements include compliance with FF-S-86 and MIL-DTL-1222 specifications, specified materials and dimensions, self-locking elements where applicable, thread and heat-treatment controls, permanent identification, and complete heat-lot traceability. The material is designated as SPECIAL EMPHASIS material (Level I) and is subject to extensive quality-assurance requirements, including liquid-penetrant inspection, wedge tensile testing, chemical and mechanical certifications, certificate-of-compliance documentation, ISO 9001 or an acceptable alternate quality system, government inspection, and certification-data submission through Wide Area Workflow before shipment. Delivery is FOB destination to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, with final delivery due within 365 days after the effective date of the resulting contract. The opportunity is a total small-business set-aside.
