Description
The Jersey City Municipal Utilities Authority is soliciting sealed bids for rehabilitation of the incoming electrical system at its Boonton Water Treatment Plant. The work includes replacing and upgrading the outdoor electrical substation with a new concrete foundation and canopy; installing a new transformer; replacing the existing standby generator with two new standby generators, enclosures, and foundations; and upgrading the incoming electric service, distribution equipment, raw water pump motors, and variable speed drives. The project also includes a new emergency switchboard, automatic transfer switch, panel board, fuel filtration system, rehabilitation of above-ground fuel storage tanks, and construction of an electrical-room expansion connected to the existing Raw Water Pump Station. The expansion includes helical piles, a concrete foundation, and associated construction and equipment. Bids must include the required surety documentation and bid security, hard-copy and electronic bid-submission materials, and applicable ownership-disclosure, affirmative-action, contractor-registration, prevailing-wage, and disadvantaged-business-enterprise compliance documentation.
