Description
The City of Fountain Inn is soliciting bids for construction improvements at PD Terry Park, including pickleball and tennis courts, asphalt paving and court surfacing, ADA-compliant sidewalks and parking improvements, curbs and gutters, fencing and gates, court lighting and electrical utilities, signage, landscaping, irrigation, site furnishings, a picnic pavilion, playground allowance, demolition, grading, drainage, erosion control, and permanent seeding. The project includes approximately 0.96 acres of disturbance and requires construction surveying, as-built documentation, traffic-control measures, site safety, and waste management. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, permits, and related services. The sports-lighting system must include four 50-foot poles, LED luminaires, remote control and monitoring, and a 25-year performance and maintenance warranty. The bid package requires a 5% bid security; the successful contractor must provide 100% performance and payment bonds and required insurance. Work is scheduled to begin by January 5, 2027, and must be completed by April 30, 2027, with liquidated damages of $250 per day for late completion.
