Description
The National Research Council Canada requires construction services to separate the existing combined sanitary and storm sewer system at its Montreal Road campus. The work includes asphalt and existing sewer removal; installation of new sanitary and storm sewers, maintenance holes, and catch basins; excavation, trenching, backfilling, grading, paving, curbs, sidewalks, site lighting, landscaping, traffic control, erosion and sediment control, utility protection, and related restoration. The project includes contaminated and excess-soil management, groundwater control, environmental protection, construction safety, and required testing and inspections. Bidders must provide a technical proposal and a separate financial proposal, list subcontractors and suppliers, meet mandatory experience and personnel criteria, submit bid security equal to at least 10% of the bid amount, and attend one of two mandatory site visits. The estimated contract period is 12 months, with a proposed start date of January 1, 2027; the contractor must complete the work within 52 weeks of acceptance notification. The opportunity amount range is $2,000,001 to $10,000,000.
