Description
The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals to remove the existing bridge over the Cisco Branch of the Ontonagon River and construct a 70-foot single-span concrete I-girder bridge. The work includes a concrete deck, concrete abutments, H-pile foundations, prestressed concrete girders, bridge railings, approach slabs, guardrails, expansion joints, structural backfill, roadway excavation and embankment, aggregate base, asphalt, drainage, riprap, erosion control, seeding, mulching, and temporary traffic control. The acquisition is a total small-business set-aside and is expected to result in one firm-fixed-price contract awarded to the lowest-priced responsible and responsive quoter. The government estimates the construction magnitude at $1,000,000 to $1,500,000. Work must begin within 14 calendar days after the notice to proceed and be ready for use no later than October 1, 2027. In-stream work is restricted to June 1 through September 15, and the contractor must comply with applicable federal construction wage rates, insurance requirements, environmental permits, quality-control requirements, and bridge-removal planning requirements.
