Description
Centralia School District 135 is requesting proposals for a 12-month managed fiber-optic Wide Area Network lease connecting three school sites to the district office at 10 Gbps. The turnkey solution must include network design, installation and construction, permits and rights-of-way, connections to each school’s main distribution frame, and managed Cisco routers or equivalent equipment. The requested service must provide at least 99.99% uptime and include maintenance, support, service-level commitments, response times, cable-cut procedures, and service-call pricing. The district is also seeking a new or renewed Internet access solution, with the Form 470 identifying a 1 Gbps to 5 Gbps service request. Proposals must provide pricing for one year, identify the vendor’s SPIN, separately identify E-rate-eligible and ineligible components, and comply with applicable E-rate and USAC requirements. Vendors must provide company information, at least three qualifying Illinois or Central Illinois E-rate or WAN references, a network drawing, and copies of typical managed-lease/sales and maintenance contracts. Installation is expected after July 1, 2027, subject to E-rate and Board of Education approval.
