Description
The Department of the Interior's Interior Business Center is conducting market research for potential future medical review and consultation services supporting the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General. The contemplated scope includes audits of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D and Medicaid claims; medical record review; evaluations and inspections; coding, coverage, medical necessity, and payment determinations; quality assurance; medical review instruments; and related reporting and consultative services. The draft Performance Work Statement also describes expert consultant and witness support for investigations and legal proceedings, including medical record and claims analysis, standards-of-care and billing evaluations, regulatory guidance, written expert opinions, litigation preparation, testimony, and supplemental reviews. Respondents are asked to provide non-price-specific information on corporate capabilities, relevant federal experience from the past five years, nationwide capacity and scalability, staffing and clinical specialties, quality controls, subcontracting or teaming, technical approach, cost drivers, and recommendations for improving the draft requirements. This is an RFI for market research only; proposals and quotes will not be accepted.
