The California Department of Veterans Affairs is soliciting a lump-sum bid for mechanical upgrades to existing HVAC systems in two buildings at the California Central Coast Veterans Cemetery. The work includes new HVAC systems, associated controls, ductwork, air-distribution devices, demolition of existing systems, and related mechanical installation. The project also includes electrical work required to support operation of the new mechanical systems. Bidders must provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, and services necessary for a complete installation. A Class B General Building Contractor license is required, with C-20 HVAC and C-36 plumbing subcontractors identified as applicable. A mandatory pre-bid site inspection is required, and the project has an estimated 120-calendar-day term. The bid package requires a 10% bid bond, 3% Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise participation, specified insurance, and numerous completed bid forms and certifications.
