Description
BC Timber Sales is soliciting a contractor for the Arrow North spring planting program. The work includes planting approximately 555,100 seedlings across 33 blocks covering an estimated 440 hectares, including straight planting, fill planting, and burn-pile planting. Planting operations will occur in the Edgewood, Burton, Whatshan Lake, and Nakusp areas and are expected to begin in mid-April, subject to weather conditions. All planting must be completed by June 21, 2027. The tender is evaluated using the BCTS Planting Contractor Rating System and mandatory requirements in the Conditions of Tender. The contractor must provide the labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to perform the work, and the tender price must exclude GST and PST. The tender package includes requirements concerning insurance, safety, environmental management, camp standards, subcontracting, planting procedures, risk management, and WorkSafeBC registration.
