Description
The City of Guntersville is soliciting bids for hot bituminous pavement in place, including Superpave bituminous concrete wearing surface, binder, and base layers, as well as thin and deep asphalt pavement milling. All workmanship and materials must meet current Alabama Department of Transportation specifications. Bidders must provide unit pricing for all listed pavement and milling items and must furnish the current price index monthly. The contract covers the City and its agencies, including the Guntersville City School System, from October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027, with a possible mutually agreed extension. The City may make multiple awards to the two lowest responsive and responsible bidders, with no guaranteed minimum quantity of work. Once a contractor accepts a work request, work must begin within 60 days. Bidders must use and sign the official invitation-for-bids paperwork, bid all items, submit a $10,000 bid bond, and provide a performance bond if awarded.
