Description
The Washington State Department of Enterprise Services is soliciting sealed bids for the CBCC Elevator Modernization Support Building rebid at Clallam Bay Corrections Center. The project involves modernization of one existing hydraulic elevator, including new controls, pump and hydraulic components, door equipment, intercom and emergency communication systems, firefighters' emergency operation, code and accessibility upgrades, new elevator doors and finishes, a pit ladder, and associated electrical work. The base bid includes new stainless-steel cab ceiling and wall finishes, while replacement of elevator cab finishes and flooring is identified as Additive Alternate No. 1. The work also includes selective demolition, mechanical and electrical modifications, split-system HVAC, fire-protection coordination, roof penetrations and PVC roofing repairs, patching, painting, and construction waste management. The occupied corrections facility must remain operational during construction, and workers must pass background checks, obtain identification badges, and work under escort inside the facility. Washington prevailing-wage requirements apply. The solicitation requires a bid guarantee of 5% of the base bid when the base bid plus additive alternates exceeds $35,000, with an electronic copy submitted with the bid. The contract requires substantial completion by June 30, 2027 after the Notice to Proceed, followed by final completion within 30 calendar days after substantial completion.
