BC Timber Sales is soliciting a contractor for spring planting of approximately 655,000 seedlings across approximately 35 blocks covering more than 500 hectares in the Salmo, Rossland, and Castlegar area. The work includes fill planting and the use of approximately 100,000 fertilizer bags. Planting is weather dependent, generally begins in mid-April, and must be completed by June 21, 2027. The tender will be evaluated using the BCTS Planting Contractor Rating System and includes mandatory requirements that may result in disqualification. Bidders must submit pricing in Canadian dollars, excluding GST and PST, and complete the Tender Offer Form and Tender Price Schedule. The tender package includes requirements concerning bid deposits or bid bonds, insurance, payment, safety, environmental management, subcontracting, and planting operations. A bid deposit in the form of cash, money order, certified cheque, or bank draft cannot be submitted electronically.
