Description
This is a Sources Sought notice for market research only; it is not a solicitation for proposals and will not result in an award. The Department of Veterans Affairs is assessing vendor capability for a full-service preventive maintenance requirement covering medical gas systems and related medical, dental, and laboratory air and vacuum equipment. Work includes annual inspections and testing, system evaluations under NFPA 99 and VA requirements, medical air purity testing, and maintenance of compressors and vacuum pumps. Technicians must hold ASSE 6040 certification for maintenance and ASSE 6030 certification for inspection and testing. The scope also includes minor repairs, reporting, and emergency and urgent repair response, with on-site response required within two hours for emergencies and four hours for urgent repairs. Interested vendors are asked to email a capability statement and requested company, socioeconomic, staffing, experience, teaming, and certification information. The notice requests two to three examples of relevant past experience and a completed VA limitations-on-subcontracting certificate. The anticipated performance structure is one 12-month base year plus four 12-month option years, beginning January 1, 2027.
