Description
The City seeks a contractor to provide scheduled custodial services at City Hall, a teen center, an operations center, a safety center, and fire stations. Work includes routine cleaning and sanitizing of offices, restrooms, common areas, and floors; trash, recycling, and organics handling; replenishing restroom supplies; weekly floor buffing; monthly floor stripping and waxing and carpet extraction; quarterly deep cleaning; and twice-yearly fire-station carpet cleaning. Annual deep cleaning of fire-station kitchen, dayroom, and restroom areas is also required. The contractor must furnish labor, supervision, equipment, materials, and specified supplies, and perform additional cleaning tasks when authorized by written work order. Bidders must provide bid security of at least 10% of the Total Evaluated Base Bid and be registered with the California Labor Commissioner as a Property Service Employer at bid submission and throughout the contract. The required bid package includes seven bid forms/checklist items, with the CARB fleet certification and supporting compliance records required unless an exemption is documented. The successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds and insurance after award. The initial term runs January 1 through June 30, 2027, with possible annual renewals through June 30, 2032.
