Description
The City of Pomona is seeking a contractor to supply pneumatic tires for city-operated vehicles and industrial equipment and provide tire services at the contractor’s facility, City Yard facilities, and on the road. Required services include mounting and dismounting tires, flat repair, balancing, on-site mobile service, and roadside service performed by qualified mobile tire technicians. Mobile equipment must include an air compressor, tire mounting and dismounting equipment, and a jack capable of lifting the largest city vehicle. Service calls must be answered within one hour. The contractor must operate within seven miles of the City Yard at 636 W. Monterey Avenue, Pomona, maintain a City of Pomona business license, and provide a current certificate of insurance, including valid general liability and vehicle insurance when delivering within city limits. The agreement term is five years, and bids must remain valid for at least 180 days after the due date. Registration on the City’s prospective bidders list through PlanetBids is required before submitting a response.
