Description
This Sources Sought/RFI is market research, not a solicitation for contract award. The Government is assessing vendors’ ability to provide 40 complete wood decking kits, each containing the pre-cut, profiled, and drilled boards needed to replace the full deck of one M872A4 40-ton semitrailer. The boards must be Apitong (Keruing) hardwood graded Select or Better, kiln-dried to 12–15% moisture, and machined to the specifications in TM 9-2330-381-14&P without on-site cutting or re-machining. Standard commercial/manufacturer warranty information and product-care documentation are also requested as part of the capability response. Interested vendors are asked to submit a capability statement of no more than five pages covering company and business-status information, sourcing and manufacturing capability, technical compliance, packaging of 40 separate vehicle kits, production lead times and supply-chain risks, delivery capacity, and non-binding ROM pricing. Responses are due by email in PDF or MS Word format. No contract will be awarded from this notice.
