Description
Broward County is soliciting an open-end, indefinite-quantity contract for aerial mosquito adulticide application services for the Highway & Bridge Maintenance Division and other County agencies. The contractor must use a fixed-wing aircraft or helicopter equipped with an Ultra-Low Volume spraying system to treat approximately 157,000 acres, with a minimum call-out of 24,000 acres, an application rate of 0.66 ounce per acre, and an estimated three to six missions per year. The County will provide Dibrom insecticide, and applications will generally occur between midnight and 6:00 a.m. in the County's western service area. The contractor must propose an airport for landing and takeoff, provide an application cost per acre, maintain calibrated spray equipment, obtain required aviation and pesticide licenses and registrations, and submit detailed spray mission reports within 12 hours after each mission. Required qualifications include an FAA pilot license, Florida Aerial Pesticide Applicator License, Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Public Health Pest Control License, and aircraft registration. The response must include the electronic bid table and vendor questionnaire, with applicable certifications, licensing proof, insurance verification, and other requested forms submitted through the County's electronic bidding system.
