Description
The County of Grande Prairie is seeking a consultant to prepare an Intermunicipal Area Concept Plan (IACP) for approximately 10,416.81 hectares (25,737.17 acres) within the Grande Prairie Intermunicipal Development Plan boundary, primarily south of the City of Grande Prairie. The plan will establish a high-level, policy-oriented framework for future land use, servicing, transportation, environmental stewardship, development phasing, infrastructure coordination, and intermunicipal growth management. The County may implement the plan through multiple planning areas or planning documents. The consultant will provide technical analysis, stakeholder engagement support, mapping, plan preparation, and statutory planning documentation. The plan will support existing Area Structure Plans, future Conceptual Schemes and other detailed planning initiatives, subdivision applications, and infrastructure investment decisions. The County Planning Department will oversee the work and retain decision-making and statutory approval authority; the completed plan will ultimately be presented to County Council for adoption by bylaw. The procurement is subject to the New West Partnership Trade Agreement and the Canadian Free Trade Agreement.
