Description
The Cherokee Nation seeks bids from general contractors to construct a community center and mini park, along with two duplexes. The scope includes labor, materials, supplies, quality control, and supervision, as well as dirt work, utility mains and on-site service lines, site concrete, paving, landscaping, site lighting, playground equipment and safety surfacing, and related site improvements. Bidders may price either of the two base bids or both; the solicitation also permits a bid for the combined Base Bid 3. The contractor must act as the sole primary contractor and assume all subcontracted work and divisions of labor. The bid package requires a bid bond or cashier’s check equal to 5% of the grand total. The successful bidder must provide 100% performance and payment bonds before work begins, maintain specified insurance, comply with Cherokee Nation TERO requirements and applicable wage requirements, and provide a one-year warranty. A mandatory site visit is required, with an alternate opportunity to satisfy the requirement by scheduling with the named contact. The bid package identifies required submission items, including bid forms, a non-collusion affidavit, work history, Indian-preference statements, and bid security; TERO certification is required only when applicable.
