Description
Aspen Peaks School District is requesting statements of qualifications from an insurance brokerage firm to support its approximately 3,000 insurance-eligible employees and partially self-funded health and welfare benefit programs. Services will be provided on an as-needed basis and may include benefit-plan compliance audits, data and claims analysis, annual renewals, carrier and administrator negotiations, plan design, market evaluations, compliance guidance, employee communications, benefit fairs, enrollment support, excess reinsurance, actuarial services, and administration of flexible spending and health savings accounts. The selected firm must be licensed as an insurance broker in Utah, provide professional liability/errors and omissions insurance, remain independent of insurance companies and related entities, and demonstrate at least five years of brokerage experience serving public-sector employers with at least 2,000 employees. The firm must submit a statement of qualifications addressing its profile, proposed team, approach, systems, past performance, references, licensing, insurance, and compliance. At least five client references are required, including two comparable public-sector or school-district clients. No fees or pricing may be included with the qualifications submission; compensation will be negotiated with the highest-ranked firm. The resulting agreement has an initial one-year term, up to four additional one-year renewals, and a possible additional renewal term of up to five years.
