Description
Centinela Valley Union High School District is soliciting proposals for one new, current-production CNC multitasking mill-turn machine for instructional use in its Career Technical Education Manufacturing and Engineering Pathway Program. The machine should be approximately in the 6- to 8-inch chuck class and support turning, milling, 3+2 machining, simultaneous five-axis contouring, main and opposing spindle operations or equivalent part transfer, C-axis and Y-axis capabilities, B-axis milling, probing, tool measurement, gear machining, helical cutting, CAM-posted programs, and safe enclosed operation. Required equipment includes the controller and software licenses, standard accessories, tool holders, workholding devices, tooling, guarding, electrical and connectivity components, documentation, and a standard chip-removal system; separation filtration and external chip-handling equipment are not required. The scope also includes turnkey delivery, unloading, rigging, placement, leveling, installation, calibration, startup, acceptance testing, onsite instructor training, technical support, and a minimum one-year manufacturer warranty covering parts, labor, travel, software and controller components, and defective workmanship or materials. Proposals must include machine specifications, included options and accessories, delivery schedule, installation and training plans, warranty and support details, service location, parts availability, and total pricing. The revised materials require one original proposal with original signatures and two hard copies, sealed and delivered to the District's Purchasing Department; the proposal must include the required proposal form and certifications listed in the solicitation.
