Description
Lee County Board of Commissioners is soliciting a contractor to pave the southern 1.37 miles of Old Leslie Road. The work includes placing 8 inches of granite graded aggregate base over the existing roadbed, applying bituminous primer and tack coat, installing 9.5 mm binder-course asphalt and a 12.5 mm asphalt pavement overlay, and completing mobilization, bonding and insurance, and traffic control. Additional work includes high-build double-yellow centerline and white edge-line striping, a thermoplastic stop bar, raised pavement markers, shoulder and driveway grading, shoulder material placement, driveway tie-ins, and hydroseeding. The contractor must be Georgia Department of Transportation certified, follow applicable GDOT specifications, maintain safe and passable traffic, and begin work within 60 calendar days of written notice to proceed. All work must be completed within 45 days after notice to proceed, subject to stated weather extensions and liquidated damages of $500 per day. The bid must include the attached bid form and schedule, 10% bid security, and an authorized signature or written non-collusion oath.
