Description
Chatham Area Transit Authority is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors to provide a complete turnkey refurbishment of up to nine 2018 model-year Gillig diesel coaches under a three-year contract. The contractor must coordinate with Coach Crafters and perform structural floor rehabilitation, including replacement of damaged plywood with three-quarter-inch, seven-ply marine-grade plywood, sealing, and finishing. The interior work includes removal and installation of transit flooring; replacement of passenger seating with Gemini seating, a Q-Pod wheelchair securement area, flip seats, and a Quantum configuration; installation of up to 16 dual USB/USB-C charging outlets; and replacement of wheelchair ramps with Lift wheelchair ramps or approved equals. The contractor must meet applicable ADA, FTA, FMVSS, and OEM requirements, return removed ramps to CAT Central, and provide repair documentation, warranty information, and testing and inspection reports for each completed vehicle. Responses must include financial statements, staffing availability, insurance evidence, references, required certifications, and completed Attachments B through G.
